Southend MP refuses to act on constituent’s behalf

James Duddridge, the MP for Southend East and Rochford, has written to Brian Pead – his constituent – telling him “…Please do not correspond with me further…” Pead had written to his MP informing him of incontrovertible evidence of police corruption. Duddridge replied “…I fully support Essex Police…” but failed to comment on the behaviour of their Metropolitan Police neighbours. It is, of course, the duty of an MP to represent his or her constituents. For more information on the duties of an MP, click here.
