Beware the children’s homes’ doctor
ALEX WHEATLE Arriving at Shirley Oaks in 1966, acclaimed author Alex Wheatle was one of the victims that suffered abuse in the care home. Alex was sexually abused by the children’s home doctor which he believes was part of a targeted network of abusers who operated in the same south London children’s homes. MEMORANDUM To: the National Probation Service, Purfleet Quay, King’s Lynn, Norfolk Norfolk Constabulary Date: 13 April 2016 Status: an OPEN document consisting of two pages Please note that I do not give my consent to the visit to The Guanock Hotel, London Road, King’s Lynn on 13 April 2016 (or any subsequent dates). Whilst I understand that the Probation Service and the Police have important functions in society, I am neither a sex offender, nor an offender of any kind, despite false documentation to the contrary. On 31 December 2013, I instigated an Official Complaint under Article 3 of the Human Rights Act (HRA) 1998 and this visit is a direct breach of Article 3, as well as Article 8 of the HRA (the Right to privacy and family life.) I wish to take advantage of this opportunity to report child abuse to both the Probation Service and Norfolk Constabulary.
