Today, Mrs Adrienne Tear received a copy of the book from Hillsborough to Lambeth. The book took ten days to travel from the publishers in Southend to Sidcup, even though it had been sent first class to arrive the day after it was posted on 7 November 2012. It was one of several books to either arrive extremely late, or not arrive at all.
Mrs Tear, and her daughter Victoria, were witnesses to the brutal beating of Brian Pead by four police officers from Bexley Police.
They fulfilled their civic duty by sending in a complaint against police brutality but were then later visited by the police and forced by Kate Halpin to withdraw their statements against police brutality.
