Essex detective constables Sharon Patterson, 49, and Lee Pollard, 47, have been found guilty at the Old Bailey of sabotaging child abuse investigations.

The couple, who live together in Colchester, both denied misconduct in a public office between 2011 and 2014.

The two officers:

  • forged documents
  • forged Crown Prosecution Service forms
  • forged witness signatures
  • concealed evidence
  • destroyed evidence
  • lied about investigations to their superior officers
  • made dishonest entries on the police force’s computerised recording system.

In Brian Pead’s cases, the Met Police, Essex Police and Norfolk Police:

  • forged documents
  • forged Crown Prosecution Service forms
  • forged witness signatures
  • concealed evidence
  • destroyed evidence
  • lied about investigations to their superior officers
  • made dishonest entries on the police force’s computerised recording system.

All of Mr Pead’s claims can be fully substantiated with credible evidence (in other words, not fraudulently created/ not Photoshopped/ not forged).

Brian’s MP, Sir Henry Bellingham, a former barrister for 8 years, has been presented with much of this evidence. So concerned was he about the police persecution of Brian that he went on camera to speak out about it on 14th September 2018.

Additionally, Brian was also falsely charged by police officers from the Met after he was wrongly arrested on 4th June 2008. See the story of how Brian Pead was fitted up by corrupt police officers here after he exposed wrong-doing in Lambeth Council:
